Fishing Guide and Charter Service on Moosehead Lake
To my past guests and potential new guest:
Your personal safety has always been and will continue to be my primary concern. The weather until now, has been our biggest adversary to having a fun and safe trip. Predicting weather on Moosehead can be tricky, but experienced guides have the knowledge to avoid dangerous weather.
Unfortunately, this new adversary can’t be seen in the distance or felt in the air change. Experienced scientists and doctors are struggling to identify the traits, and the various ways the virus is transmitted. The guidelines provided by our health experts to try to conduct guided fishing trips are educated guesses at best. I will not jeopardize yours or my safety based on what might work.
Not being able to see my fishing friends or meet new fishing friends this year saddens me deeply. This Covid-19 is by far the biggest safety concern I’ve faced in my guiding career. For these reasons I’ve decided to not book any fishing trips in 2020.
I truly hope that you all stay safe and healthy until this virus is defeated in a safe and predictable fashion, beyond doubt. Thank you for looking at my website and your understanding. I look forward to taking you fishing again. If you have any questions feel free to call me.

Fishing Trips for Trout and Salmon on Moosehead Lake
Moosehead Lake is Maine’s largest body of water. Fed by many streams and rivers, this spectacular cold-water fishery contains native brook trout, landlocked salmon, and lake trout.
At Fishin’ 4 Fun we concentrate all our efforts on fishing Moosehead Lake. While you’re in the area, if you would like to try fishing our world class rivers or small ponds I’d be happy to hook you up with one of our local guides whose expertise is in these areas.
We fish out of a 20′ Corson boat with a 115 horsepower and 8 horsepower 4-stroke engines. The main fishing method we use is trolling. Early in the season, when waters are cool, we troll near the surface with fly rod and streamer flies. As water temperatures increase and fish dive deeper, we use light action poles on down riggers.
